Dive & Safety Tips

3 Security Tips

“Disarmed” Scenario

The “Disarmed” scenario must be activated before any manipulation of the drone whether you are diving with iBubble or using the Explorer Mode.

Activate it:

  • Before putting the drone in the water or taking it out.
  • After the “Come” scenario when iBubble stops beside you.
  • In case of emergency or distress situation

Please go to the bottom of the page to see how to activate the “Disarmed” Scenario.

Long Handles

The drone is equipped with 7 propellers.

When you use the long handles, be careful not to place your hands too close to the front and back lateral propellers.

Keep a safe distance with the drone

  • When activating a scenario underwater, the drone will automatically go at a 50 cm underwater depth. The drone will emit a sonore signal before its activation to warn you.
  • Between 0 and 2 meters depth, the obstacle avoidance is deactivated. Be careful while using the drone in a swimming pool.

When you dive with other people, don’t forget the drone follows the remote’s transmitter. Be careful that other divers keep at safe distance with the drone. Don’t forget the drone is always under your responsibility.

3 Best Practices

Do not pull the remote’s cable

While holding the drone’s remote, make sure to do not hold it by the cable letting the remote hanging.

It may, at the end, degrade the connection between the remote and the transmitter.

Do not turn on the drone underwater

It is formally recommended not to turn on the drone underwater.

It must be turned on always before the dive.

If for any reason the drone is turned off underwater. Grab it by the handle and continue your dive.

Use the battery opening tool

In order to facilitate te opening and closing of the battery’s compartment and ensure the sealing, use the dedicated tool.

If you do not have one, please contact our support by email support@notiloplus.com in order to get one.

3 Diving Tips

Seabed

Seabed are not always flat.

While diving with your drone do not forget it is following you in distance between 1.5 meters to 6 meters according to the set up you did on the application.

The drone will always follow you trying to keep its depth according to yours. If you go deeper too fast, the drone may hit the seabed even with obstacle avoidance.

Please adapt your descent speed and always watch your drone.

Position

The drone established the diver’s position according to the pressure sensor on the remote and the emitter at the extremity of the cable’s remote.

Do not let the remote hang during the dive. It is better if the distance between the remote and the transmitter is less than 1 meter.

Technology

The technology used underwater is not the same as the one we know on the terrestrial environment and does not work the same way.

The reef, the divers, the underwater animals, or even air bubble can block the receipt of information by the drone.

Make sure to always let the remote and the transmitter visible for the drone to allow it to follow you.

3 Scenarios to try on the 1st use

Follow

To understand how the drone is following you and react underwater.

Best is to try first in a safe environment like a swimming pool or a lake.

Alone and with other divers.

With and without obstacle.

Do not forget that between 0 and 2 meters depth the obstacle avoidance is deactivated.

Disarmed

Learn how to quickly disarm your drone to be able to react promptly in case of emergency.

How to activate it?

With the drone’s remote

  • Press the “scen.” button to enter the scenario menu and select “Disarmed”
  • Press simultaneously “scen.” and “mode” buttons

With your phone or the JXD controller in Explorer Mode

  • By selecting the propellers symbol on the screen

If the drone does not respond you can disarm it by pulling out the emergency plug attached on the inferior hull.
